Abstract

The 6th Albanian Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ACTES 2022) on 11–12 November 2022 in Tirana, Albania was an engaged scientific conference focusing on enhancing the practice of trauma and emergency surgery. Structured around its motto, "Success is caused by education, willpower, concentration, persistence…", the Congress was an expression of our unflinching determination to improve patient care through academic excellence, collective synergy, and clinical innovation, to repeat and infuse confidence in our audience.

This Congress brought together international and national experts in emergency and trauma surgery, residents, students, and allied health professionals. The ACTES 2022 Abstracts Book is a gem containing original research, clinical studies, case series, and institutional experience in a wide variety of subjects. It has valuable subjects like management of polytrauma, hemorrhage control, damage control surgery, trauma system development, and the evolving role of minimally invasive approach in emergency surgery, keeping everyone updated and aware.

The common thread emphasized an unrelenting pursuit of quality, standards, and results—ensuring every step forward is in the best interest of trauma patients. By promoting education, hands-on training, and evidence-based practices, ACTES 2022 reaffirmed the core principles of modern trauma care. The 6th ACTES greatly added to this, most significantly in [particular educational initiatives or training programs].

The Congress provided not only the potential for scientific exchange but also Albania's growing contribution to elaborating regional care for trauma on a global level. The excellence of the high scientific level of the contributions illustrates the intention of Albanian and foreign colleagues to provide trauma and emergency surgical care equally as good as anywhere else in the world.
