This special supplement, AJTES Supplement 8: Abstracts Book – ACTES 2024, contains the scientific proceedings of the 8th Albanian Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, held on November 08–09, 2024, in Tirana. The congress brought together over 500 clinicians, researchers, and allied health professionals from Albania and abroad for multidisciplinary discussions focused on developing trauma systems, refining acute care protocols, and improving surgical readiness. The Congress's slogan, “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out,” calls for collaboration to achieve safety, resilience, and ongoing improvement in trauma and emergency surgical care. This theme encourages participants to collaborate, innovate, and contribute to advancing trauma and emergency surgical care. AJTES invites submissions of research, opinions, and experiences to help build a safer future. The journal remains committed to global collaboration, academic excellence, and innovation. The journal promotes global knowledge exchange by publishing original research articles, reviews, technical reports, case studies, and reflective editorials. AJTES also welcomes submissions in emerging areas, including artificial intelligence in surgery, disaster medicine, surgical education, and student-driven studies. This approach supports future leaders in surgery and broadens the journal's global perspective.
